As I am in my fifties now I am starting to feel the threat of becoming mundane and being replaced at work by a younger generation. One that knows nothing, has no experience and on top of that isnt even "a  native English speaker". How can this be?  Well at the one place where I was replaced by the headmasters son who just came back from Canada and needs something to do, the son is not only a poor English speaker but he is "stopid" (on top of being a none native speaker). Also he hasnt got a clue about handling kids, entertaining or teaching for that matter.
 Oh well...that was soon part of history and although I some times wonder how the jerk is doing I dont really care.  It was once a week for 45 minutes, so not a very big chunk outta my life.
The latest threat is from this Kindergarten/Nursery School (the largest in Japan with over 500 kids) where the principal/ head master literally has a hard on for foreign chicks.  Classic situation in Japan and a little retro cause it used to happen a lot during the bubble era. However, I am being literally replaced by a blonde busty German bitch who knows nothing of English culture or tradition. She speaks english with a heavy accent and also is inexperienced. Just goes to show how much one is appreciated.  I know I appear slanted but I would even go so far as to say that she is nothing but white trash. Not that a horny short Japanese male would ever know this or even be able to figure this out.
It is offensive as I consider myself professional and have nothing to pull out of the hat to change the situation. Of course the unmentioned is that these bimbos are also a lot cheaper and more easily exploited.  Thinking of what to do next as I have only two more months before the axe falls.

Yesterday I had a wonderful day. I didnt plan it which was made it so much more special. I was bored after spending close to three days indoors due to the rain.  I jumped on my scooter and went into the city center. City Hall. They had some kind of environmental event on and I thought I might be able to pick up some organic bread of veggies. Anyway I stumbled on all these kiosks with different themes and was intrigued, new types of cotton grow in colors other than white and also inventions to  catch rain and so on. Then I followed a girl with long pink hair into a park and encountered a Anime Event. A lot of youth were dressed as their favorite animation character and hanging out with each other,. They readily agreed to pose for fotos....It was all great.
On the way home went to my favorite restaurant and had clam chowder and a salad and found a magazine article to read about Rob Lowe who was 1 of my hero movie stars from Hotel New Hampshire. Got home and watched TV, chatted  on Skype and did internet. About to retire I checked my cell fone and found that an ex-friend had called.  Called her back to see what the reason was. Talked for an hour. It was a bit awkward and uncomfortable but good to find out all that had happened this last year....catching-up after our  close friendship had been so abruptly ended.
 But,  I am leery of renewing the friendship as it was tough "breaking-up" and don't wanna go thru that pain again. Rather be "lonely" and stress free as her life is so busy and complicated.

Offended in time

Last Thursday As I was finishing one job and scurrying to another teaching job I ran into a Yellow woman who was flapping her arms at me. It, as I got closer, turned out to be the mother of two of my previous students. We chatted and thankfully I remembered her brats names and she told me they were fine. We talked about other classmates of her children too.  Her son, the elder was doing well in one of the most prestigious high-schools and her daughter in the 10th grade was doing even better. Then the axe fell. She said, Oh Nigel- Sensei it is thanks to you that they are both doing so well in English. We ( the mother's ) at the time, thought that we were wasting money and now we realize just how good their English capabilities are.  Well I was pissed. These bitches who invented some excuse and then stopped their kids from taking English from me are now basking in the glory of what was a great lesson format.  What authority did they have to critic or even comment on the caliber of my lessons. Moreover, what do they know about teaching English to over-indulged Japanese shysters.  Anyway, I am so offended and ready to quit all my extra-remedial classes. She is not the first to thank me....but she is the first to actually say that all the mothers agreed that they were pissing away money on my classes.
Well they can go to Japanese English speakers who haven't got the correct accents and who have no idea how to conjugate or speak grammatically correct English.  I am so totally disgusted!
